I’d also like to mention Distribu TECH, which took place
Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2017, in San Diego. Distribu TECH allowed
attendees to network with 11,300+ industry peers from 78
countries; build alliances with other attendees and share
knowledge, expertise and viewpoints toward effective solu-
tions to power delivery challenges; and see the most inno-
vative products and services available in the industry from
more than 500 exhibiting companies.
Among this year’s DistribuTECH con-
ference tracks were Advanced Metering;
Communications Solutions; Mobile So-
lutions; Asset Management; Substation
Automation; Data Analytics; Enterprise
Grid Management; Customer Strategies
and Technologies; Defending the Grid;
Distribution Automation; Geospatial; Mi-
crogrids; and new this year were DER, DR
and Other Non-Wire Alternatives; and In-
ternet of Things/Smart Cities.
In addition, breakfast roundtables of-
fered the opportunity to discuss a wide
range of topics, some of which included
advanced distribution management sys-
tems, aging infrastructure, AMI/AMR,
asset health analytics, and much more.
Those who attended this year’s DistribuTECH gained a broader understanding of current and future issues that
affect power delivery!
